The time for action is now! Please help.
The tenants of The Coventry building ask for your support in requesting a one year lease from the School District and/or The City of Cleveland Heights moving forward, allowing us the opportunity to not only thoughtfully plan the future of our organizations, our collective futures in Cleveland Heights, but also for the time and opportunity to participate in a thoughtful, involved, and transparent plan for the future of the Coventry site.
Your presence at this week’s City Council meeting is invaluable. You being there speaks volumes about your concern for the future of our organizations, as well as the future of the Peace Park. We want the city to know how serious we are about taking the proper time to creatively solve the issue at hand, starting with a full year lease for the current tenants. Thus, allowing us the time it will take for us to properly research and perhaps develop an organization that can address creative placemaking incorporating the needs of the thriving nonprofits, the school board and the city, and most importantly, the community members.
We want to take this project from being a rushed project with little to no community discussion, to a project that could stand as a beacon of what proper creative planning can accomplish. Please join us at the City Council meeting on Monday night and encourage your friends and neighbors to do so, too. You don’t have to be a Cleveland Heights resident to attend, just as the Nonprofits and Peace Park serve many more than only Cleveland Heights residents.
