The 31Heroes WOD (workout of the day) was specifically designed to remember the fallen heroes of August 6, 2011 and honor their legacy of sacrifice. For the athletic community, this is our moment of silence. This is how we remember. This is how we come together to support those who’ve fought for us. The 31Heroes WOD is more than a workout. This is a mission to give back to those who’ve given their all. Grab a partner, and join the team.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY (Carolyn here! Every time you ask a question that I've already answered in a post that you either skimmed or didn't read at all, I get more gray hair. My hair dye budget is out of this world. Help me save a few trips to the salon and please read this in full before asking a question. XOXO)
1. Choose a partner since this is a partner WOD (we have even let people do this in teams of 3, if desired). This is a 31 minute AMRAP of 8 thrusters (155/105), 6 rope climbs, and 11 box jumps (30"/24") while partners take turns running 400m with a sandbag. If you can't do the workout as prescribed scale to whatever you're safely able to do as you would in a normal WOD. IF YOU AND YOUR PARTNER CANNOT DO ROPE CLIMBS: you will scale with 18 pull-ups (or whatever you are able to do for pull-ups, e.g. ring rows, banded, etc).
2. Donate to The 31Heroes Project, which funds programs that support service members and their families. You have 2 options here: either create an online fundraising page for 31Heroes Project (you get cool incentives the more money you raise) or you can simply purchase a 31Heroes t-shirt from Hylete (50% of revenue of each shirt is donated to 31Heroes).

3. Choose a heat time. We have a limited number of ropes and because the workout is 31 minutes we didnt want anyone to have to wait around. Heats will go at 9:30 AM, 10:05 AM, and 10:40 AM. We will update this page when you can start signing up for heats.
