Beginner Aerial 3 Week Series

This workshop will give you a base for understanding what aerial yoga can offer you and confidence in moving forward to more advanced practices if you wish.
Week 1: Stretching and Strength
Week 1 of this series will focus on the yoga-y stretches and great range of motion the hammocks allow us to get when we are stretching. Then we will work of strength! Conditioning moves like pull ups, sit ups, planks, pikes and more. A lot of new students would like to try aerial tricks but need to build the strength working in the unstable environment of the hammocks first. You will learn that here.
This is the #1 reason come to the silks. Compression free inversions! They feel so good on the spine and are unlike anything else you can do for your body. You will learn different wraps and hangs to take you upside down safely.
In our final week we will put together our stretching, strengthening and inversion into a flow. Combining some moves together to move from one pose to the other, something wrapping or dropping. You can see the art of it all!
