Series 1: Intention Setting and Creating a Sacred Space

Shamanism is the path to knowledge which is gained through experience of many aspects of life, such as rituals, ceremonies, prayer and meditation, trials and tests. It is the practice, or discipline of interconnectedness and unlimited potential; which can create a total transformation of self.
Our first shamanic journey will encompass the use of herbal teas, shamanic drumming, and a bliss light experience. In this session we will be discussing what shamanic journeying is about; as well as how to create sacred space. You will need to come up with an intention you would like to work on prior to coming into journey space. An example of intention is: I’m here to let go of _________, I need more direction in my relationship, work, or health, or I want to learn how to love myself more. Please take time to really meditate or pray about what you need help with the most in your life. Professional facilitating will be available during the session if you should need assistance.
In preparation for journey we encourage you to eat lightly and healthy in the days before; avoid alcohol and caffeine, as well as food which is greasy, spicy, aged cheeses, pickled products, and red meats. The day of the session we recommend a light lunch and dinner.
Some cushions, blankets, and mats will be available, but you may choose to bring your own for meditation. Also, please bring a non-spill water bottle and a journal for taking notes.
Please remember that our sessions are completely confidential. Our emphasis is in providing a safe container with love and openness for sharing this experience. We look forward to journeying with you all!
