On October 4, Adam Deal was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer. This is an incredibly rare form of cancer for a 33-year-old, so needless to say, the diagnosis took him and his family by surprise. As a dedicated husband and father of two boys, Adam’s geared up to fight – and win – this battle. Everybody who knows Adam knows he’s a rare combination of being good at basically everything (I don’t get it…dude’s like 5’9” and doesn’t look that athletic) yet extremely humble. This is no different. Adam’s ready to roll, but humbly approaching it with the “I appreciate anything you can do, but you don’t need to do anything” attitude.
So, on behalf of Adam, we’re rallying the troops. Please participate in a $50 charity WOD on Saturday, November 18, called The Deal. It’s comprised of Adam’s favorite moves, and scalable for all fitness levels. We’ll have t-shirts for everybody who participates, with all the money going to help him and his family. If you want to further help, there will be a place for additional donations at the event. So please join us for a great workout and great cause, and stand with our brother as he kicks off his fight against cancer.
