An Academy Award, Golden Globe, Emmy and Grammy-winning actor and musician, COMMON continues to break down barriers with a multitude of critically acclaimed and diverse roles, along with continued success at the box office. Alongside John Legend, he won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for the song “Glory,” which was featured in the Oscar-nominated film, Selma.
He released his 11th studio album, Black America Again, in 2016 and was most recently featured on Andra Day’s song “Stand Up for Something,” which he co-wrote with Diane Warren and can be heard in the 2017 film Marshall. The song received Grammy, NAACP, and Critics’ Choice nominations, as well as the “Hollywood Song Award” at the 2017 Hollywood Film Awards.
Often referred to as a jazz singer for the hip-hop generation, New York City-based vocalist José James will perform his latest project, Lean On Me: José James Celebrates Bill Withers, an exploration of the deep musical catalog that touched millions of hearts and united communities worldwide.
In 2008, he debuted with his first album, The Dreamer, followed by Blackmagic in 2010. James signed to Blue Note Records in 2012 and issued «Trouble,» his first single for the label. He was also featured in an on-screen performing role in the movie Fifty Shades Darker, as well as on the soundtrack album.
Children under two years old are generally not permitted in the theaters. At designated performances Children of all ages are permitted. However, everyone regardless of age must have a ticket. All children must be seated with an adult. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for guests may be removed from the theater without refund.
